We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll Administrator/Clerk to join our team. The Payroll Administrator/Clerk will be responsible for accurately processing payroll for our clients, ensuring compliance with payroll laws and regulations, and providing support to the payroll department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll for clients accurately and timely, including calculating wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions.
  • Enter payroll data into the payroll system, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information.
  • Verify timekeeping records and resolve any discrepancies or issues with employees or managers.
  • Calculate and process payroll adjustments, including retroactive pay, commissions, and reimbursements.
  • Prepare and distribute payroll reports, summaries, and statements to clients and employees.
  • Respond to payroll-related inquiries from clients, employees, and government agencies, providing timely and accurate information.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records and files, including employee information, tax withholding forms, and payroll deductions.
  • Assist with payroll tax filings, including preparation of tax returns, payments, and compliance documentation.
  • Stay updated with changes in payroll laws, regulations, and compliance requirements, ensuring adherence to all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Provide administrative support to the payroll department, including filing, scanning, and organizing documents.

Job Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in payroll administration or related roles.
  • Demonstrated understanding of payroll processing procedures and regulations.
  • Experience with payroll software and systems.
  • Familiarity with payroll tax filings and compliance requirements.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Commitment to integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality in payroll processing.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures.
