We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tax Accountant to join our team. The Tax Accountant will be responsible for assisting clients with tax compliance, preparation, and planning activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and file tax returns for individuals, businesses, partnerships, and other entities, ensuring compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations.
- Review client financial records, statements, and documents to accurately calculate tax liabilities and deductions.
- Assist clients with tax planning and strategy, identifying opportunities to minimize tax liabilities and maximize tax savings.
- Research tax laws, regulations, rulings, and court cases to stay current with changes and developments in tax legislation.
- Communicate with clients to gather necessary information, answer questions, and provide guidance on tax-related matters.
- Assist clients with tax audits, inquiries, and disputes, representing their interests and advocating for favorable outcomes.
- Collaborate with other members of the tax team, as well as colleagues from other departments, to ensure coordinated and integrated service delivery to clients.
- Provide support and assistance to senior tax professionals and managers as needed.
- Maintain accurate and organized tax files and documentation for clients.
Desired Skills:
- Strong understanding of tax principles, laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in tax preparation software, such as TurboTax, TaxAct, or similar.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex tax issues and provide accurate calculations.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in tax preparation and documentation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients and colleagues.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field required; CPA certification or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in tax accounting or related roles.
- Demonstrated expertise in tax compliance, preparation, and planning.
- Experience working with individual and business tax returns.
- Knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and rulings at the local, state, and federal levels.
- Experience with tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Commitment to integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality in tax matters.
